Via Berlin
Via Berlin is a musical theatre company formed by actress/playwright Dagmar Slagmolen and violinist Rosa Arnold (Ragazze Quartet). Under the wing of theatre company Orkater they have created a war trilogy, consisting of the plays ‘Een mond vol zand’ (2009), ‘Vanaf nu heet je Pjotr’ (2011) and 'Home sweet home' (2013). In each play Sytze was involved as a musical director. All three plays were presented with great succes at the Oerol Festival (NL) and toured afterwards along the Dutch theatres. In 2014 Via Berlin received the Charlotte Köhler prize. A prize of 30.000 euros for young, promising artists in The Netherlands.
For Oerol 2015 they made a start with their second trilogy, about the theme illegality, with the performance 'Dead End'. A piece without words for one musician (Sytze Pruiksma) and a mimer (Gerindo Kartadinata). Dagmar wrote the script and Sytze composed the music (see Dead End). The second play 'Comfortzone', in which Sytze is involved again as a musical director, has its premiere at September 19th in the Toneelschuur in Haarlem.
